Christmas Restorative Yoga
The tradition lives on – Join me for my annual Christmas Restorative Class!
The peak of the silly season is the perfect time to slow down and catch your breath, and what better way than a calming and grounding restorative practice? There’ll be a sprinkle of pranayama included to fully nurture your body, mind, and spirit.
By incorporating props like blankets, bolsters, blocks and straps to support your body, restorative postures can be held comfortably for between 3 and 15 minutes, depending on the pose. The longer holds and the support of the props allow you to fully relax into each pose and open the body passively. Different than Yin Yoga where the purpose of relaxation is to go deeper in a pose, the purpose of relaxation in Restorative Yoga is relaxation. Balancing for your nervous system, and nourishing both physically and emotionally, Restorative Yoga soothes a hectic lifestyle and encourages the body and mind to slow down.
Perfect for beginners and seasoned practitioners alike. This class will be in-person only, bookings are essential. Subscribers, please choose the ‘Reservation without payment’ option.
